Need fast help Palladium resorts

Hi there,
we are coming down next weekend and a great deal just popped up for the Grand Palladium White Sands/Kantenah. Anyone been recently, I need to know most importantly if the dive shop has re-opened yet. Expedia site says it is ran by Scuba Caribe.
Any info would be great!!

We did the Grand Palladium Kantenah a few Decembers ago.
2004.
Something like $749 pp out of Denver for a week.
At that rate, who could pass it up....
Besides it was a gift to Ruth and me from some friends...all we had to do was go along with them...BIG but very fine place. I liked it just fine. No problems.

Thanks, pics are great, not sure if we are going to book or not, it's just such an amazing price that we almost can't pass it up, $611-$699 from Calgary!! Can't beat that!! Just need to find out if the darn dive shop is open!!

At that price, book it Dano! Who cares about the dive shop.... you can jump in a cab to another one with all your extra cash you'd be saving!

I take it that's a great price!! Like I did'nt know!! We just have a lot of stuff to do this trip (planning a wedding in April) and don't want too much cab, bus, collectivo time!!

It's a smokin' price - enjoy yourselves!!!! Do you know where you want to have the wedding yet?

We always enjoy ourselves!! We are doing the wedding at a small hotel in Playa, Tropical Casablanca, well as long as all is well when we get there to check it out!! We will basically take over the whole place for a week!! SB great

Sweet, I know Nicola is from Canada she has been amazing so can't wait to see the place in person !! Where are you staying on your next trip?
We were just going to hop a cheap flight and stay at the TC but then this palladium deal showed up!! I just don't know what to do, I generally hate the mega resorts, but this may be a once in a lifetime price for this place!!

Not sure where we are staying - TC is on the list, tho! I don't know Nicola but I do remember Dave (he is a few years older than me so likely wouldn't remember me - but he was hot

Last year we caught a $96 charter out of Edmonton in early January so we are hanging on to see if that comes up again. Then we'll just stay wherever - we are easy to please

Unless you can get a flight under about $250-300, you will likely come out ahead financially to stay at the resort - just depends what you are after and what you are willing to pay for. Wish I could get away in the next few weeks....and had some cash

Yeah, I love the "flight watch"!! They just came down to $280 from Calgary so that is reasonable, still don't know what to do, love the 5th ave wandering and don't want to miss out on like 4 peep meets the week we are there!!
Oh well, guess I will sleep on it!!

I can see your dilemma. The resort is the best value, to be sure, but the flight is affordable....

I would be having trouble deciding too! Also, check Online Travel Agencies - Fareconnect | Fareconnect and check the packages in US dollars - the prices include tax and with the exchange rate I have seen some great deals on there. They have an office in Medicine Hat as well that my mom has dealt with and she has had great service there.

Thanks for all of your inputs and advice!! Got an email from the resort and the dive shop is up and running!!
I kind of wish it was still closed, now my choice is hard.....lap of luxury for a cheap price or right in the Playa action "get your own beer" vacation ahhhhh
