RCI Booking & OnLine Registration at RPDC Help

Has anyone booked a week at the RPDC using RCI and been able to get onto their online registration website and book your room?

We're flying into Playa tomorrow, but aren't scheduled to check in to the Royal until Saturday, so I'd love to be able to do the online registration today while I'm not travelling and I'm within the 48 hours checkin timeframe.

Any help is much appreciated,

Yes..we were able to book online last spring. HOWEVER....we were also "bumped" at the last minute and moved to the Royal in Cancun. I fussed and complained to RCI and Royal until I was blue...didn't do any good.

I did get major upgrades in Cancun, spa packages, and an extra week through RCI. I thought the resort was lovely but I am not a fan of Cancun. Good Luck!

I went in May...the Royal in Cancun was just opening...I think they were trying to get it filled as there were lots of people who were bumped there. Probably different now. Stay positive! I think you should be safe...you just have 48 hrs and they called me before that!!!

I'm really worried now, I called the hotel and they don't even have our names in the system and I booked the room with RCI 9/7, so I have a feeling that we are not going to be successful, because when I do an online pricing with RPDC it shows up with a lot of nights not available next week.

RCI is going to fax them the confirmation paperwork again, but I really think we're up the creek without a paddle.

We were there in July and they were still shuttling people to the Royal in Cancun. The RPDC and Gran Porto Real are notorious for overbooking. The earlier you arrive in the day, the better your chances will be.

We are not scheduled to arrive at the Royal until January, however I'm thinking it may be fun to try and book a couple of days at the Royal Cancun. Not sure if you can do that though. We are going for 10 days and it would be fun to pack a backback, and spend a couple of days in the concrete jungle. I don't want to give up our room at the Royal Playa. Don't know if that is feasable. Guess it all depends on availability and such. Gonna give it a try.

Here are some pics from Cancun Royal. You can see some of the beach erosion back in May even after they were trying to restore the beach. The resort itself is very nice.
