I have my personal story from today: got back from Zurich two hours ago and the flight was about half an hour late. We landed in Cologne and after we had arrived at our final position, we heard the captain say 'Obviously we came as a surprise to everybody on the airport as there are no busses and nobody's there to attach the stairs to the plane... we are in contact with these people though and hope you'll be able to leave the plane soon.'... he sounded somehow pissed off...

From Zurich I called my mom to ask whether the flight TO Zurich had left in time (which is always an indicator for me whether I will be on time or not) and she told me it was half an hour late. When I checked in I did piss off the lady at the counter as I asked how late our flight would be and she said 'My computer says the flight is on time and THAT's what counts!'. I knew we would be late (didn't go back to tell her that I was right and not her computer though...
