Hey, I'm 42 and only a couple of mos from 43, now, and I certainly don't apply the adjective "middle-aged" to myself! Nobody said English was logical, you know. Personally I don't think you can easily or reliably apply that to anyone under 50, though I see many dictionary-type entries online (such as the one here) say "roughly between 45 and 65 years old."

I don't believe for one minute that this effort is NOT aimed toward a Gingrich for 2008 presidential campaign. Which doesn't make it good or bad ... just slightly cynical, considering his previous demurrals on the issue of running...

But it would evidently distinguish him from Al Gore in that respect, at least.

I saw the movie, remember? Wasn't much in the way of offering concrete solutions. Just a lot of hand wringing and worst case scenarios.

For all you "young" 40 something whippersnappers who say you aren't middle aged...get up off the couch or push yourself away from the computer. Go down to a local club or bar...pick out a lovely in her mid twenties. Walk up and ask her if you're middle aged.

just like the 19 year old young bucks think I am a (middle aged) cougar.

(although a ten year old trick or treater thanked me last night and called back as he was walking away with his buddies, "Thanks, Sexy!" TEN. Trying to get a rise out of the old lady methinks.)
