The peanut thing too is a good point, but I had a tough time finding stuff that was peanut free and still good...all the chocolate bar packs had ones with nuts.
Mars bars are good and then there is some nestle combo boxes that are good, coffee crisps, kit kats and smarties I think. It really sucks for them because most things have no nuts but are made in a factory where other products that contain them are, so they stamp everything "may contain traces of nuts". I know I hate it when they come to visit because I worry so much that I will kill someone. Ice cream is one of the toughest ones for them, not many good flavors that are safe! Thank god my family is allergy free! My daughter's friend has a milk allergy, imagine that at halloween and easter with all the milk chocolate!!
I know the candy I was able to get last night would have been horrible for the little ones, but my own fault for thinking dear hubby wouldn't find my stash and eat the good stuff! Surely any good parent would go thru and remove the unsafe stuff before letting the kids have at er.

Dental hygienist answer here...........Hawkins Cheesies!!..................kids have enough stuff to last for weeks. My oldest daughters' orthodontist ( mine too.........) has a program where he buys the loot at $2.00 per pound. Matches that donation to our local food bank and donates the candy to the food bank as well. My older daughter has hers ready to go, the youngest one will take a few days!Shoulda been at work today, those piles of loot are just calling my name!!

I can't eat tootsie rolls. They look too much like my dog's poop.

Yep, amazingly enough. The owner has a party and all the kids who come trick-or-treat here along with the few who live here. We gave out nearly 50 pieces of candy - one at a time!
