Running up the score is not only wrong, it's shortsighted. Once the game is won wouldn't it make more sense to get your young 2nd and 3rd stringers some real playing time.

That being said, I would hate to see a cheap shot on anyone, especially a star quarterback. Especially since we have one up in Green Bay

If a late hit does happen in a game where Bellicheat is running up the score, then its his fault. It is quite obvious that is what he is doing. Sorry, but you cannot be up over 40 to 0 and still throwing the ball late in the game.
I will give a prime example of not running up the score. Sunday's Colts game against Carolina. Colts up 31-7 with 9 minutes left. The Colts take Peyton out of the game and are subbing lineman. Peyton didn't go back into the game and the Colts won easily. Would Bellicheat have done that? The games this year are showing NO!

If Brady, Moss, get a cheap shot, then Kraft should really come down on the "Cheat". Kraft sure didn't look very comfortable up in the box at the end of the game.

BTW Pats fans, Karen, Eileen, Commando, I think I told you guys I'm a big SOX fan from way back. Please SOX do not get A-ROD, or is that A-HOLE.
Plus the "Cheat" could learn a thing or two from Francona about class and dignity.

Commando, that is a fair statement, but my memory is that there was no talk from the "talking heads" about the Colts running up the score. I don't recollect any talk from teams complaining about the Colts running up the score. I don't think there was talk about somebody taking a shot like there is now. I think alot of it has to do with the "Cheat" and his actions, attitude. Right or wrong that is the perception out there. Myself, I really don't care. I want both teams healthy when they meet in the playoffs myself. I think Peyton would be very happy to give up the TD record for another ring.

ron, its mostly the media that is talking about running up the score and cheap shots. joe gibbs said he had no problem with the game on sunday and most of the former coaches and players on espn have no problem. i'm not sure where the cheap shot talk originated but i'm sure it wasn't a player or coach. hopefully nothing like that happens, but i won't blame belichick if it does.

They had second-stringers in for the majority of the 4th quarter. What do you tell them, NOT to score? Blame the deadskins for being so pathetic they couldn't stop them. And blame the MEDIA for over-hyping the camera thing and questioning the integrity of the 3 super bowl wins. You think the players are making a statement about "we don't need no stinkin camera"..? You BET they are - This isn't Pop Warner, you don't take your foot off the pedal in the regular season..

Davev: Just noticed your listed "location". You never did get your lazy Braintree ass to show up to help me move, ya know. What's your excuse? You were getting your Pinto detailed that day?

Cowher: Brady could be target of cheap shot

As the New England Patriots pour it on opponents, fans have to be wondering about it and Tuesday former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher said it: If the Patriots keep running up the score, will someone like Tom Brady be the victim of a retaliatory hit?

The subject of the Pats' late-game tactics is causing a lot of buzz around the NFL, particularly after Sunday's 52-7 victory over the Washington Redskins. On a CBS conference call with reporters Tuesday. Cowher noted the Patriots could be playing a dangerous game.

"At some point if this continues, someone's going to take a cheap shot,'' Cowher said. "Is that worth subjecting your players to if it comes to that?''
Ami..... ...Who cares about Tom Brady..............OUR quarterback got hit by a cheap shot last Sunday and is still hurt....... or scared....... or both.

Randy Moss pushed off to get his TD that made it 24-0, both announcers said so, another example of cheating by the classless Patties...
