Cheap shot on Tom Brady
Think it'll happen?
This is from Yahoo.....via Boston Herald Cowher: Brady could be target of cheap shot - Rumors - NFL - Yahoo! Sports Cowher: Brady could be target of cheap shot As the New England Patriots pour it on opponents, fans have to be wondering about it and Tuesday former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher said it: If the Patriots keep running up the score, will someone like Tom Brady be the victim of a retaliatory hit? The subject of the Pats' late-game tactics is causing a lot of buzz around the NFL, particularly after Sunday's 52-7 victory over the Washington Redskins. On a CBS conference call with reporters Tuesday. Cowher noted the Patriots could be playing a dangerous game. "At some point if this continues, someone's going to take a cheap shot,'' Cowher said. "Is that worth subjecting your players to if it comes to that?'' |

I am a Redskins fan. That being said, this is the NFL not Pop Warner. NE ran it up on the Skins. Skins deserved to have it run up on them.
My guess is that if Cowher were coaching a team, he wouldn't have said that. As good as the Patriots are, it would probably be one of Cowher's players being carried off on a stretcher. |

I'm sure Brady doesn't call the plays, he executes them. The plays come from the sidelines.Ultimately it is Belichcik's decision. Twice in the 4th qtr he went for it on 4th down.First time the score was 38-0.Second time score was 45-0.If anyone should get a cheap shot, it should be Bill Belichick

Of course it will happen. I watched defensive players purposely try to injur Kurt Warners right hand in 2000-2002. They succeded twice....the second time obviously blatant, the defender moving his foot to come down on Warners hand while he was on the ground, resulting in a broken thumb. Trying to remember the dudes name....but Im pretty sure he was fined. Thats why Warner fumbles now, hand weakened by multiple injuries.
Hold no delusions....select players, coaches, and even Orginizations (See Pats Filming) to do whatever it takes to win.....$$$$$$$$ Last edited by sideways : 11-01-2007 at 01:35 PM. |

I remember one day at my uncles restuarant. a very famous defense player made a comment about breaking an opposing teams quarterback's legs. My uncle looked surprised and asked him 'Would you really do that baby?" and he replied "hell yeah if I can get a clean shot at him". I will not reveal who it was and who he was talking about.....he is retired now anyways.
