Lost Another Great Aviator
Gen Tibbets Passes Away
Regardless of your feelings of the political descision to use the Atomic Bomb, we lost a brilliant aviator a genuinely good person. I had the honor of meeting and spending an evening with the Gen. What a pleasant man and great story teller he was.

What a strange coincidence I was just talking to a friend two days ago about the use of the bomb.
I greatly respect the fact he greatly helped to shorten the war. It must have been a difficult thing to live with some of the accusations leveled upon him. This is link to a lefty who is sure the bomb should have been dropped:http://www.ux1.eiu.edu/~cfib/courses/Fussell.pdf |
