There are more people who believe in some god or another in the world than not, so therefore the majority of bad people in the world are going to be religious, naturally. But that's just a fact of statistics.

And yes, some of them use religion to excuse their bad behaviour, which is wrong, but I think anyone with an ounce of sense can see through that. Some of us atheists use our atheism to excuse bad behaviour too at times.

While I'm not quite sure how y'all read into my message some how that I WOULD tolerate greed, theft, etc FOR ANY OTHER REASON other than religion, I suppose I should clarify:

I don't like bad people who do bad things, whether they are done in the name of religion, the state, or for any other reason.

I've mentioned before, I am a huge fan of the teachings of Jesus. I think he was a great man with great things to share humanity. I try to adapt many of Christ's teachings in my own life (although I sometimes lose my patience with some people ) and I try to teach my children to live and respect those principals Christ taught. I also teach them to live and respect some principals taught by Buddha, Confucius and Allah.
