consensual was a bad choice of words for me... it is never consensual when an adult has sex with a child... that's the law... it is statutory rape....

Although not as frequently, male victim/female perpertrator cases do occur. "Age of consent" no matter what gender is the letter of the law in every state that I am aware of.

a male can sustain an erection even without sexual desire being there... it's a physical act that can be achieved with physical manipulation...

We found a small number of studies that examined the sexually coercive tactics used by women against men. Expanding upon research by McCormick (1979) on sexual influence strategies, O'Sullivan and Byers (1993) measured whether 112 women had used 44 positive, neutral, or negative strategies to obtain sex from a reluctant male partner. The most frequently reported behaviors were flirtation, touching, compliments, and removing clothing (cited by 45% to 54% of women). Least reported were acts such as trying to get men drank or stoned (cited by 5% of women) and using physical force (3% of women). Anderson and Aymami (1993) measured 212 college women's use of 24 tactics for initiating sexual contact with men. One of the most commonly reported tactics was attempting to arouse the partner (cited by 79% of women). However, about half of the women reported initiating sex with a drunken man, 15% reported getting a man drank or stoned, and 6% reported using physical force. In Germany, Krahe (2000) found that 9% of 248 sexually experienced women reported attempting to have or having sex with a man against his will. The strategies employed were exploitation of a man in an incapacitated state (reported by 6% of women), verbal pressure (3%), and physical force (2%).

A few studies have explored male victims' perspectives on sexually coercive tactics used by female perpetrators. Struckman-Johnson and Struckman-Johnson (1998) found that 43% of 318 college men had been subjected to at least one coercive sexual act with a woman since the age of 16. The most frequently cited tactics were verbal coercion (reported by 75% of male victims), being encouraged to get drunk (40%), and threats that the woman would withdraw her love (19%). Only 8% of male victims said that they were physically restrained by a woman. Surveying 182 college men, Fiebert and Tucci (1998) documented that 70% reported being subjected to some form of sexual coercion perpetrated by a woman in the past 5 years. Most of the coercive activities fell into categories labeled mild (e.g., 17% to 39% experienced unwanted sexual touching and kissing) and moderate (e.g., 24% had unwanted sex with an insistent woman). Severe coercion involving a woman's threats or physical force was reported by only 1% to 3% of men.

Very true. The point is that it simply doesn't make a differance if the victim is male or female or if the perpertrator is male or female, sexual assault is sexual assault period.

because I have a mentally disabled son and this is one of the things I've had to be alerted to... he's fully developed physically, but mentally is about 2 years old, so no interest in females sexually... but the mechanics all work, so in theory he could be physically manipulated to achieve an erection by someone with the proclivity to do such a thing... and to do whatever they wanted afterwards...

There was also the male teacher that everyone knew to stay away from-either female or male. It was known truth not to be in a classroom, or any closed-in space with him.

I also blame it on the school--It fostered that kind of phenomenon/environment. That school did not have a trusting environment. Students who told administration any kind of negative information were publicly humiliated. So, no one spoke up. We all knew not to speak up. Still tees me off thinking about it.

I can think of 2 teachers in Jr. High that were questionable...one in particular it was the same thing as you said, Bon, everyone just knew not to stay after school for help from him, ya' know? He was creepy too, normal seeming I guess, but you could just feel the looks innuendo that he gave off.

In Sr. High, a group of girls I was familiar with who 'looked older' or WERE old enough were at a local nightclub when two P.E. teachers came there. One girl (grade 12, but still a student!) was making out with one teacher by the end of the evening. Made for an awkward PE class on Monday. He knew she was his student, he just apparently didn't care or was not thinking straight.

So it happens probably more than we hear about...it's just not always brought to media attention for various reason. Still makes it wrong though.

You are correct, about the law concerning the age of consent. I was talking more about how a woman can not force a man to have sex.
