I can assure you it is very sunny outside right now! Maybe the cam is covered to protect it from the elements, don't know, will have to check it out.
My friends are staying in one of the oceanfront studios right now, they just arrived yesterday and LOVE it. So if you see a tattooed guy with bedhead and a beautiful tattooed woman with him, let me know. Adam is a creepy forum lurker, so I'm calling him out now to get him to register and come out to play with us. Hi, Adam and Martina!! See you later tonight! |

Ok, I have uncovered the answers you seek. See how I work tirelessly for you? You should each immediately run over and vote for me on the Best Staff Member of 2007 thread, if you haven't already.
![]() The web cam is in a protective housing. The lens has to look through a tinted cover, much like looking through sunglasses. While this darkens the image, it does prevent glare. The placement has another "problem," which is the new four story building just south of Playa Palms, which casts an afternoon shadow. It cannot be faced north on the beach, since trees would block the view. The palapa roof on the building kept us from putting it high enough to see over the trees. We are working on a solution that will allow a higher placement. |
