Spanish lesson por favor; EU vs: EU
I always pick up one of our Spanish language newspaper weeklys here, mostly for my wife to hone up on her Spanish, but I enjoy looking at it too.
Recently I was very confused by an article about the EU, until it dawned on me they were talking about the "Estadas Unidos", not the European Union ![]() How do Spanish speakers differentiate, especially in print? Just by the context, or do they call the European Union something else?
