The Playa Del Carmen dining list game!
The Playa Del Carmen dining list game!

Here are the rules,

# 1 Name the place
# 2 Address/location "Must include streets"
# 3 Type of food
# 4 Price
# 5 Very Important! No commenting on a place you did not list!
# 6 After you add a place or places Copy "The List" then Past it in your post .
# 7 OK to edit someone else's post for PRICE and ADDRESS only
# 8 OK to list Places in nearby towns
If we Play Nice this could be a handy list when it done!

La Taberna
10th. Ave. & Calle 4 Playa del Carmen,
Mexican & Such "Pub food" Good food Great Happy hour around 7pm
Not expensive "feel free to add some prices"

Pummarola
Between 38th and 40th Streets on Calle Flamingo
Italian Very Good "Full Bar"
Not expensive "feel free to add some prices"

El Sarape
Juarez Av and 20th Street.
Mexican "Al Pastor" Tacos "Full Bar"
Cheap "feel free to add some prices"

but here is a current comprehensive list of restaurants in Playa from Dpreefer

It is a good list. Errors include the location of the second HC Carnes; but its only a technicality. You may still find it. There is a more comprehensive list with different errors on my own site.

Thanks!

If I get inspired, I may do another update tomorrow. There are a number outdated items (though this list will never be completely current) and a few notables that are missing.

I can run my listing as an app on my Treo, though I've not found a good way to make it available as a download.

That's good to know, I was thinking Shlongos would be a place I'd eat when I'm there. Is Hole in the wall the same kind of place Shlongos was, a deli?

yes..it is the same with one less partner and a new name
and the menu is being expanded - they had ribs the other night and stir-fry something or other
plus it's a breakfast joint
