I booked my first real airplane ticket the other day.... well it wasn't for me, but for my bro, $178 on Southwest rt from IAD-MDW. So I'm thinking..... how bout looking for prices from IAH-CUN in March and be a real passenger for once......$478 rt ....I'll stick to taking my chances flying stand-by.....

True our taxes suck but judging by what our American friends are paying for a flight it's still cheaper to fly from Canada when there are seat sales. Personally I have never paid over $400. return taxes in. OH...except from Texas where the lucky bums pay $99. total and it's ONLY a 2 hour flight!!!

That is what I was wondering...Shammy, is YAPTA only US domestic carriers and flights, or all international flights from all destinations?

Don't forget March and April are breaks for the kids in Canada and the USA that is another reason we don't fly then because the prices are way way higher during Easter break...

USA 3000 is off their rocker these days - WTF is up with them? I paid $350 taxes in last April, Easter no less. This year, it's $675 for April and no where near Easter. Oh, and they pulled their planes out of Newark for all of low season (Apr-Dec) so I'd have to go out of Philly anyway. Bunch of freaks!

While Charlotte's not very close to the OB, I found a Delta from CLT to CUN, with a stop in ATL, for $320. 6/6 through 6/15. Found it about 6 weeks ago and was $200 cheaper than any other offers. It's the lowest I have gotten in 3-4 years.

Wow, I thought it was just us here with no competition.... I just hate the thought of flying through another airport, I have been so happy flying direct with no long lines coming or going.

I'm thinking we're going out of Columbus via Houston on Mondays to avoid the craziness.

We may actually meet this March AL.
