30th to Constituyentes is open!

Hooray, most of the rubble mountain has gone to Manuel.

One can now drive all of Constituyentes and turn south towards Walmart, but still not North to Dak.

Now, who's going to repair all the central reservations and pavements that are in much worse conditions since the roads got resurfaced!

Sheesh, was that a mess or what!?! Do you know what they were doing exactly besides wreaking havoc on all driving in the entire town?

concrete miracles

That's great, but I have this issue to add. A bunch of my family and friends have been handicapping when the huge hole just south of the Cablemas office between 28th and 26th on 10th Ave. will be fixed. It's been there for almost TWO years and the best "fix" I have seen (as of Oct) was a huge rock that only covered about 3/4 of the hole. If it has not been fixed yet, is anybody interested in starting a betting pool on when the city might actually cover a hole that could swallow a small child (bad) or Paris Hilton (good)?

You mean there might be a plan?!

Hmm, well they were attempting to resurface the roads. I didn't notice the opportunity being taken to improve any drainage though, or put the power cables underground.

It's in competition with the dropped section on the 307 as you approach Chedraui going North.

i hit that every time

...and didn't they have a section of northbound 30th (just south of Constituyentes) newly paved, only to dig it up to repave it? What a disaster that whole project has been.

As a pedestrian...

...it was great being able to leave Mega and walk directly across the street to La Pesca.

Personally, I miss the thrilling circle that was at that intersection for so many years.

Owner of Le Pesca told us last Saturday that they are putting in new water and sewer lines.

most communities would do that BEFORE they pave the road - not after

Around here the money for roads and water come from seperate budgets so it is entirely possible, and I have seen it, for a perfectly good road to be torn up, water lines put in and the whole thing patched over.

They have been putting in new water pipes along the whole route. Also, new drainage pipes. They have discovered that more than a few buildings were pumping their waste into the cenotes. Not as worthless a venture as some would make it out to be.

Its all about spending the money allocated this year in a way that best influences the upcoming election. Considering they put in new water pipes all along the entire length of 30th, I thought they worked pretty quickly. Now, if I could get the water company to repave the road in front of my school, I would be happier. Looks like the surface of the moon.
