Playa Paraiso vs Playa Car

We are travelling to PdC for SB with kids 5,11,12,15,15 yrs old. We need lots of stuff for all of them to do. We are looking at villas in both locations. Any thoughts?

Playa Paraiso is where?
Except for the beach, Xcaret (expensive for such a large group), ATV tours. Zip Line tours.... I can't think of a whole lot to keep kids busy.

owner says it's next to Mayan Palace. Seems to thnk its better there then at Playacar next to Reef club

Did he or she say why they think this? I personally would MUCH prefer to be in Playacar than way up north next to the Mayan Palace.

The Playa Paraiso that you are talking about is somewhere in between Cancun & Playa del Carmen. A real estate agent friend of ours bought a piece of land in that area and is planning to build in the near future. It is mostly a housing development I think?

I personally think that you would enjoy staying closer to Playa as it is more central & lively. It is certainly a good home base for all kinds of tours and activities in the area. Playacar is located right next to PDC and if you are close to the Reef Club, you can walk to PDC. Hope this helps.

there would be nothing for the kids to do in or near Playa Paraiso I say stay in Playacar.
Playa Paraiso is about 20 miles to the north of Playa del Carmen

hi lizzy! I have a house in Playa Parasio, so I am not independent. PLaya PAraiso is less crowded, beautiful beach, almost for your self, 2 min from the house, or you might be right on the beach, houses are not crammed, all houses here are on lots around 1000 sq m, you are 15 min from Playa. But you go to the trips anyway, so you just stay on the highway. Traffic in Playa del carmen and in Playacar has gotten so much worse! And many houses claim theft. Playa car let s you stay closer to PDC, so if you are planning to be there every afternoon, it is the way to go. Paraiso is only 25 min from airport, playacar you have to go thru so many lights on the highway- so it take sforever to get there!. Paraiso - is close to Puerto Morelos, Crococun Zoo and Selvatica- zip lines. Most houses in Playa car dont have swimm pools. Playa Paraioso also lets you use Mayan Palace hotel utilities. I agree! And it's easy walking distance into Playa, especially if in Playacar Phase 1.
