I think booking with Playa.info for this service ensures a hassle-free experience with booking and resolution of any minor problems you might encounter.

For the hassle-free experience is the reason we booked the Playa. info service. Nothing would spoil the beginning of a otherwise very pleasant vacation more than transfer trouble. In past trips we have either used the bus or the other guys. This time we can fill a van so why not have it waiting. See ya there.
Thank you, Murrsay185. Naturally, things sometimes happen, but Playa.info can resolve any issues you might have, in English, simply with a phone call.

I was sold on playa.info because they will provide a car seat for a child. A cheaper service I've used in the past will not.

I didn't realize Playa.info's transfers were their own service. I apologize for recommending another service on the forum! I've been posting on locogringo.com longer, where the transfer services listed on their site are simply informational, and the forum owners don't have any hand in it. :embarrassed:

Thanks everyone for your help! I have to talk with the rest of the people going, but I am pretty sure I will be able to talk them into paying a little more for a ride that we can depend on! Thanks Heather for responding! I want to leave right now we have got about a foot of snow this past week!

One other thing about this subject is when we went to Playa in November I used a service I have used many times in the past. I was disappointed with the condition of the van. They have not replaced any their fleet apparently. The van had a huge crack in the window, the right side mirror was broken and the seatbelts did not work. I do not like riding without a seatbelt, especially with the way those guys drive. By the looks of the van pictured on playa.info it looks like a far better ride. I hope the van pictured is what we get but I do believe it states the vans are newer.

our fleet owner turns them over quickly. He says it costs him more to have vehicles in the shop than out on the road earning. I think he has a two year max service-life on them before he flips them. Right now he's running a lot of the Toyota vans like the one pictured.

This is great news. A two year old van is a lot nicer than the one we were in last month.

If you are going with a group and divide the cost it really isn't bad. I can't complain about $19/RT per person for a private, safe, reliable, confortable ride.
