Any info on Hotel Kinbe?

My husband and I will be traveling to Playa this March and booked a room at Kinbe Hotel for two days. Then we will be at a condo for the week. We don't need the best, we just need a bed that's clean. We will probably spend all of our time out and about and I was wondering if anyone knows if it's an ok place?
Also we're traveling on a tight budget and I need to know if there are things to do such as tours that are worth while that aren't really expensive.

We stayed there in 2005 "before the renovation" It was very nice then! I am sure you will enjoy your stay! its within a few feet of the beach...

And Kinbe "post renovation" is just lovely. You will be more than comfortable. If you like being in the middle of the action, this is a great spot. Be sure to head up the street to Java Joe's for breakfast and all the local dish every morning. There will be lots of local folks there who can point you in the direction of fun things to do (some of which may not involve drinking but not likely). Just a few more doors up is the playa.info store front and La Ranita, a lovely place to sit an relax and meet nice people like Jez from this forum.

I recently checked out their website and the remodel has the place looking completely different than it used to. It looks great and you are close to the beach!
