just made it in, need help with wireless connection
Hi kids, setting in playa now, just got in and grocery shopping done, everything still the same here but it seems alot more busier than last couple of years at this time, the landing was at terminal 3 and shuttle to trminal 2 and 80 pesos to the ferry wharf here in playa, ANYONE UP FOR A BEER TOMMORROW, Also I was wondering if anyone could help me with a wireless connection, any help would be appreciated, i can drop by with my laptop......thanks alot,see yas on friday fer sure

Rob, glad you are settled in. Your wireless problem is probably a few adjustments to the settings. If I remember right you will need a pass code. But first check to see if the big guy has the system up and running. Unless the service has improved considerably the whole thing will go down for long periods of time.

Right click on your little computer icon at the bottom on your start up taskbar.....Then click on Network Connections.......Right click on the two computers that are lit up in blue....Example mine woud say Netgear wireless.....Right click on them and go to properties and click on it.....Then click on the middle tab.....Wireless connections and make sure that the box that says Use windows to cinfigure my wireless connections is checked and click OK.....After that right click on the computer Icon in the start up taskbar and click on "View all avaliable Networks" you an at this point hit refresh network list....Then pick (Double Click On) the strongest unsecured network......
The Tequila Barrel for thre last five years for me has been a great spot to connect to a Hot Spot....But there are several other places up and down 5th where you can connect...... Last edited by Mikey; 12-12-2007 at 09:08 AM. |

sure jason its now 515 in the pm and i looked all over town , but couldnt find you. Ill be at the barrel at 8 pm tonight....what am i doing tommorrow evening?, everyone,
.so far i can connect here in the lobby and i can send and receive on playa stuff , but email i can only send, i have to have a connection here in the lobby so far. But i anm going to copy these and see if i can figure out that connection thing back in the apartment. Sharky put the beer price up to 20 pesos......i cried today..... Jason ill hopefully see ya at the barrel at 8 pm, if not ill try and locate you again tommorrow, i think i seen the boat but it was too rough to snorkel today.... Maybe my email thing is cause of out going pop server?? not sure Is wireless almost available everywear in playa? thanks all and sorry for the spelling and punc..... got to run, but do keep me posted on what iam doing tommorrow, i know friday is la ranita.....tanks alot |

they painted here murray it looks good, there is neighbours from montreal they are living there for 3 months, bummer , you can come over any time for a beer when the neighbour hood goes to h... oh well like we always say you can pick your nose but you cant pick your neighbours........, no snow here murray??
