HCs opening on Constituyentes!
Slurp!
Two have already tried to flog their tacos at this location. The last one failed to get an alcohol licence and chose the coldest most uninviting lighting - not a good combination. Will the famous HC de Monterrey franchise succeed where others have gone off? I think so. Just drag yourself to Constituyentes between 25th and 30th, opposite the North wall of the Mega orange mountain. Get there quick to write on the walls as the black framed boxes are still empty, while you wait for the most succulent Arrachera beef! STOP PRESS: Cruising by tonight we noticed that the owner is the same one who had the previous taco emporium. He obviously saw the light. (Yes, the one on 1st street is still there, but they've painted all the walls white.) Then for your next meal go to La Pesca nearby - opposite the main entrance of Mega. pricies up?
I think the last time I was there several months ago, they had raised the arrechera plate about 10 pesos. Have they jacked ("wacked" if you're from Oxford
) their prices up again or is this the increase to which you are referring? |

When I was there 3 weeks ago, the nacional was 100 pesos, which was more than reasonable IMO. Have they gone up?! As far as the one on Constituyentes, I'll have to try and convince Stewart to lead us all there in order to compare with the one on first. ![]() |
