I cook a prime rib roast with the trimmings for Christmas Eve, we have my Mom over and sometimes friends/co-workers. Christmas Day is usually ham, but Pat says she wants to do something different this year for Christmas Day dinner.

For the past few years my family join in with my son's girlfriends family at her parents home..
Darren's gal Toni is Italian... We enjoy one BIG fat Italian Christmas dinner..
The appetizers alone would make a wonderful meal

Christmas day we have in the children and their mates and a few friends.
Turkey and trimmings..

Thats one of the many reasons I have gained nearly 20 pounds......but someone has got to ensure that our 800 guests on Christmas Day are truly delighted...if its gotta be someone...it might as well be me....
The challenge this time of year is moving (or rolling) from the huge Thanksgiving buffet, to Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and then the big 5 course spectacular New Year's Eve dinner and the New Year's Day buffet special dining events...sheesh...

Maid-Rite are franchise fast food restraunts that have been around since the 1920's. They are in the midwest, Iowa, Nebraska, etc.

Oh my, Jacko....that menu sounds amazing.
Christmas dinner for Don's side of the family is at our house on Sunday the 23rd....about 25 people. I will be making the turkey with dressing, cranberry sauce, and the mashed potatoes, and I think I will make roasted yams with rosemary too.

Each of the other siblings and their kids' families, will be bringing either a salad or a dessert, and his mom will be bringing homemade buns and (the best part) her homemade cabbage rolls and a big roaster full of her potato and cheddar perogies, yum.

We'll eat at noon, then play games and cards and visit all afternoon, then most people will eat again around 5 or 6.

On the 25th, I think we are just having lasagna, caesar salad, garlic bread (and I am bringing the dessert, pistachio Sex in a Pan I think ) at my aunts (the 8 of us who are going to Huatulco the next morning at 6:30).

Bluespicker and I have dessert duty this year. For his side, roasted pear trifle and tiaramisu. For my side carmel bread pudding and strawberry rubarb crisp. I have no clue what anyone else is bringing. It's always good
