This week will be nuts. I have a bunch of grading, meetings, etc. and then packing for the trip. I finished Christmas shopping yesterday. I had a few things to begin with, but at least I am done.
Have a fantastic trip!
I'm off to start working on the laundry pile! And wrap some packages! Have a great day!

No! No! No! I so need a couple weeks more, but since it's one week before, I will try to be ready by Saturday, how's that? I have to be because we're having our Annual Christmas party. What was I thinking when I started this

Anyway, shopping is coming along nicely thanks to the www. Three packages delivered today while I do some cleaning, sorting out remodelling stuff (electrician coming to hide the darn speaker wires at last, drywall work and last minute painting BEFORE said party) Yikes.

El sol brillar - nothing like the sun shining to help my Christmas mood

Ok I'm back. I had to catch up on an episode of "Life" that I missed on NBC.

Yes, I had my right big toe and some inner bone removed. I don't want to be too graphic about it but I am experiencing Peripheral Neuropathy in my feet. The link is to a page with a good summary about it.

Because of the this condition, I "sucked it up" and kept on doing what was expected of me at work and at home when my feet had severe cracking and ulcerations. I would treat my feet with triple antibiotic creams and bandage them until the ulcerations would heal up. Well since this past spring, I have not been able to get them to heal and complications occured. "Tunnels" appeared from the skin wound all the way to the bone on my right foot and towards the inside skin wall on my left.

This time, I've had a more responsible set of doctors that recognized the seriousness of it and told me the right foot would never completely heal. I could continue to maintain it or lose the toe to make it a lot easier to deal with.

Losing the toe is still not fix the long term problem so I have an appointment with a Neurologist at the end of January. "Supply / Demand". Hopfully, we can figure out what to do about the bigger issue.

P.S. I've met my $3k deductable through March 1. It's all 100% coverage now so the race is on.

I asked Slim to bring in the kitchen aid yesterday...I want to start on my cookies today. He didn't..so I asked him last night after he went to bed to be sure to bring it in this morning...He didn't....so my whole day is wasted. It's really heavy, and normally I would haul it in, but I don't want to re-injure my back. No cookies for slim.

WOT...wow..I just read your post, and here I am complaining about cookies.
Are you diabetic? Since I found out I am almost in that group, I have been paying very close attention to my feet. I hope you heal up soon and get back to dancing again.
