We were married in PDC in 2002. We only had 6 guests and it was very, very inexpensive. Our wedding took place at the Iberostar Quetzal and their event co-ordinator took care of everything for us.
Almost any resort will accomodate a wedding. The price will depend on what you want included ... flowers, photographer, videographer, ect. If you want to go VERY inexpensive, you can just get a local official to marry you and sign the paperwork. Good Luck~ |

If you are getting legally married in mexico, you have to have a blood test before hand. This is why you have to be there 3 days in advance because once the test is done, you have to send that with paper work to the registro civil so that they can make the official documents.
You can have a wedding with just 2. If you have it IB Quetzal/Tucan and there is just 2 people then staff members will sign as the witnesses. All witnesses must have a passport and a copy of their tourist visa, work visa or voters credential depending on where they are from, and why and how they are working there. The downside, if you get legally married in mexico (blood work etc) if you ever decide to get divorced you will have to go back to mexico where you will have to stay for approx 1 month. If you have kids that time gets even longer as the process becomes more confusing. Alot of people get legally married in their home country and then have a "blessing" ceremony, which is basically a wedding but with no legal documents. |
