My wife and I will be in PDC in July. Is there an english speaking clergy person in PDC who can renew our marriage vows for us? We are protestants (Methodists) and don't know if a Catholic Priest will perform such a ceremony for us.

The only English speaking Protestant minister I know of in PDC is Terry Hendrix. He is Southern Baptist and actually lives in Cancún but comes to Playa every Sunday evening and holds a worship service at the Club House on the golf course in Playacar. He has a webpage at

It includes a phone number in Cancún.

There is a Presbyterian church on 20th Ave between 1st Street at the airport. The pastor there, Joshua Chan, speaks a fair amount of English. I don't know if he knows enough to do vow renewals or not. It might be interesting to do them in Spanish.

Just been through it myself. Nice pastor. Drop us a line at the link on the footer and we'll help get you in touch.
