Tammy, my Mom has that floor steamer and she loves it. It has a smaller attachment for bathroom stuff. She came over my house (my whole house is wood laminate floors) to do mine because I was thinking of getting one. Spotless, and it uses nothing but hot water.

get ready to pay more for a loaf of bread! (which is a good thing, I think.)

Russia halted grain exports, and there is no world grain reserves...uh oh

Wheat futures soar, bread prices may be next - Aug. 5, 2010

Oh, and yay, because this also means potash prices will soar....stock tip, everyone, buy PCS stock.

true.....nor is pasta, cakes, cookies, doughnuts, wraps, bagels, buns, etc etc.....but all come from wheat too, and are major staples of the diet of much of the world. Wheat prices rising is big news up here anyway, since we grow so much.

So is it better to eat bread that is 35 calories or bread that is 90 calories with no HFCS ?

Maybe this is a good time to be glueten free

Perish the thought!

I like my wheat products, in moderation, like everything (well, that is my rule but not my practice, dammit) thanks very much.

Unless I had celiac disease, I sure would not give it up.....gluten-free is just the latest in a long line of forbidden foods, no yeast, no eggs, no carbs, margarine versus butter....yikes....gluten free is just the latest fad....what's next I wonder, corn or rice?

High Fructose Corn Syrup should be more than just a forbidden food fad...that is one we should REALLY get rid of!

We have a gluten free bakery in town. Some of their sweets are good, but the bread is awful. It won't even toast.

I agree, but that is not even really food!

Wheat has been domesticated and consumed by humans for around what, 12,000 years now? That is food. I bet it will be around a long time yet.

Real food is good food. Preservatives and processed foods, no. Easy peasy.

Eat real bread, made from real ingredients- just eat one slice instead of two. (sounds easy. haha)

The real bread one slice instead of two is so correct!! The average American has way too many carbs in there diet that it is kind of scary and High Frutose and Corn Syrup no way! People wonder why the number of disease and cancer is getting so big look at what we are putting in our bodies! Typically everyday foods that one might think is good for their body has so many preservatives and man-made ingredients in it that our bodies weren't made to digest! I was always told that if you can't say it you shouldn't eat it!

hahaha I will have to do some research but I will find you some! This comes from mostly my healthy, skinny friends and doctors but I will find you some links on the computer. It will have to wait until tomorrow because I am too tired to research anything now.
