PG's is not on the beach. It is maybe a five minute walk up from Mamitas. It is just a block off Fifth.

No it is not on the beach. it is on 1st avenue which is parallel to the beach and to 5th avenue and calle 26 it is close, but not next to the beach.
Places Close by, Hotel Villa Amanecer, Veronica's Massage original spot and the entrance to Mamita's beach 1 block north.
If you are still lost just find Luna Blue Hotel and their new Bar, and keep walking that street towards the sea and you will find it, on the same side of the street.
Good luck and enjoy your shrimp tacos there!

My friends and I went by today to say hi and have breakfast. I had the huevos rancheros with orange juice, toast and coffee. My friends had the egg muffin and scrambled eggs with bacon. Karen also offers other breakfasts including pancakes and fruit. The setting is very low key in the garden with umbrellas and tables. Everything is made to order by chef Diane. Karen is so accommodating and obviously has great ideas for her venture. I wish her the very best and enjoyed my breakfast and the quietness of her garden. As for directions, if you walk up Calle 20 from 5th, cross over 10th Ave, walk past the hair salon, cambio and lavanderia the restaurant will be right there on your left. Look for the bougainvilla.
Good luck Karen and Diane!

Karen,
I love breakfast! In fact, I can't start my day without breakfast; however, I am not a fancy eater - just basic foods (meat, muffins, eggs, cheese, etc.).

We had some absolutely fantastic buffalo wings at Tequila Barrel. We had to go back three times because they were so good.
Are there better wings to be found?

Xlapak?

Does anyone know anything about Xlapak restaurant? I know I read about it somewhere and there doesn't seem to be anything more recent than 1 yr ago mentioned by anyone. Is it still there? WHERE exactly is it located? What kind of food does it serve - other than awesome fresh fruit drinks?! Txs for any insight....kept an eye out for it on last trip but didn't see it!

A Summer Abruption

HI this is Karen again... I am closing The Garden Of Eating for the month of July and will be re-opening August 1, already expanding! Thanks for the positive responses to our first month open!

HI, re: The Garden Of Eating - I want to mention that I have a lot of urgent business in Canada to attend to this summer, hence the closing for three weeks, plus the last week I will expand the dining area and waterfall, hence the one month closing.... HOWEVER ! Diane and I are going to be open THIS Friday, Saturday and Sunday for more humongous breakfasts... from 8 to 12.... We look forward to seeing you then..... Karen
