Updated Playa Restaurant List

I come down to Playa every 2 months or so, and I try to visit new restaurants, joints, serendipitous finds and recommended new places on the Playa scene. I then update my restaurant list and include the reliable input of other Playa Peeps, so the list stays as current as I can make it. It seems to help out a lot of visitors.

File size limits have compelled me to split the list into two parts so as not to leave anything out. Print them both and clip them together for the complete list.

I again request any feedback from users of the list to help me keep abreast of changes in the food quality and service of the included eating establishments so everything stays as current as possible.

Here is the most recent update as of May 1, 2009. I have had to limit some mentions because of the limit of size for postings on the thread. Keep me posted on new additions or closings so the list continues to represent the best of Playa restaurants with current updates. This is our list, and I depend on your input. The expansion of Playa has made it impossible for me to eat at all of them on an ongoing basis for fear of obesity and indigestion. I do, however, try to do my best.

Asadero el Pollo Estillo Sinaloa has another location on the corner of 30th Av and CTM.

El Chino is closed.
Los Burritos del Gordo is gone. I am looking for another burrito place.

H & C Super Carnes has locations on Constituyentes east of 30th Av and
CTM west of 10th Av.


Most often we go to Don Mario's Steak and Pasta on the corner of 10th Av and Calle 8. Reasonable prices and consistent quality.
