Tequila v. Rum
I used to drink rum more. Then I drank tequila more.
Friends are here who love the St. John, USVI. So, I found some Cruzan Estate Diamond rum. It is a blend of rums ranging in age from 5 to 10 years and went for $18. Smooth, good sipping or on the rocks. The Cruzan Estate Dark ($10) is a blend of rums aged in oak for a minimum of 2 years. Far tastier than Bacardi in a rum and coke. I think I may be going back into a rum phase. |

My sis-in-law used to live in St. Croix and she would bring some of that yummy Cruzan rum home with her. LOVE IT! But tequila........is tequila!
Two different things to me, I'm usually in the mood for one, or the other - but never both (at the same time anyway).

I drink more Rum. Mostly Captain Morgans, but I like the dark rums. We bought back 2 bottles of Bacardi 8 from Mexico last year. Very strong. I'ts the only drink I use a shot glass to make sure it's not to strong. I saw Tommy Bahamma is making rum now too.
