That is freakin' crazy Karen! Glad you are okay. Time to collect damages if possible and eject tenant...life is too short for unnecessary drama...

What a mess. And what a pain to have to deal with.
That's one of the reasons why I didn't touch it this afternoon but chose to go back tonight. I wanted to take pics of everything inside and out myself. And I did. I also took one of David (and he took one of me) wearing our blue CSI gloves! The plain clothes detective was a real sweetheart and left about 4 pair with me to help me stay safe in cleaning up (due to the blood).

Ok, so sod the freakin' monkeys. Why should I care, they don't even work for me. Just go back to the jungle, steal some babies from their monkey mums and train them to sweat away in the hard-labour camp, why don't you?

And you thought anyone fell for that "jacuzzi for monkeys baloney"?!

Haven't showered today, still wearing the clothes I was all sweaty in earlier in the day when I shoveled off that freakin' roof, had my geeky-looking winter boots on and baggy jeans. David didn't care (God bless him). He marched me right into that bar, got me sitting "pretty" (NOT) on a bar stool, and made sure I had a blueberry margarita in my paw ASAP!! And then drove the 20 miles back to my place while I stressed and mumbled and fretted and even cried (a little bit) about everything that happened. He's my rock. My ROCK.
Aw what a sweetheart!

OMG - Karen !!!!
Does this mean you finally have a good reason to kick his sorry ass out ??
I hope so. Press charges and kick his sorry ass to the street.

I am just glad you are ok, and David and Kittys are ok.

SO sorry to hear you had to deal with all of that, Karen. Blood, ew. Actually I can deal with blood, but not random people's blood.

And yay for David. Everyone needs a rock in their life. I'm glad you found yours.

Well, I will be after the windows are fixed and the new tenants move in and the a-hole is gone!! But I don't think he's gonna go easily. I've got a feeling this one is gonna be a total bitch to resolve. And I'm sure to come vent on you guys about it, as usual!!

Thanks for your support, peeps.

WOW Karen! Your state may be different than here, but in Wisconsin you have seven years normally in a criminal matter. Having said that, the longer you wait, the less likely criminal charges may be filed.

You should pursue the matter! It sounds like criminal damage to property, him breaking into the next door apartment. The damage he did to his own partment may be a civil matter?

I did some Googling and it looks like with the exception of murder, sexuall assalut, etc. there are 6 years in which to file a criminal indictment in Massachusetts. Here's a link:

M.G.L. - Chapter 277, Section 63
