Has anyone else noticed......
Has anyone else noticed that people seem to be saying "Have a Merry Christmas or Merry Christmas" this year......More then Happy Holidays.....At least thats the way it has been around here in Dallas.....It's so nice to hear......I mean it actually has more of a Christmas feel then a PC feel this year......

I like both greetings, although maybe it is because I don't see it as being PC...I see it as a way of spreading goodwill from one person to another...
"Happy Holidays" means the person wishes you a happy day on every holiday. "Merry Christmas" means that that person celebrates Christmas, and wishes me a merry Christmas... ![]() |

I received this e-mail from a friend who lives in Puerto Vallarta..
I agree ![]() Merry Christmas ..... I will be making a conscious effort to wish everyone a Merry Christmas .. My way of saying that I am celebrating the birth Of Jesus Christ. So I am asking my email buddies, if you agree with me, to please do the same. And if you'll pass this on to your email buddies, and so on... maybe we can prevent one more American tradition from being lost in the sea of "Political Correctness" |

This year just has a different feel to it.....Like it use to before everyone was worried about offending someone......I mean I can never remember saying Have a Merry Christmas and someone going off on me about how they were offended by that......Ever......Yet last year even on this forum there was a big bruhaha about Happy Holidays vs Merry Christmas......And I really do understand the abbreviated Happy Holidays for both Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.....But not to say it because you may offend someone who does not celebrate Christmas or believe in the birth of Christ......Is a little much for me......
