If you had your Grandchild on your lap......
Yesterday we went for an early Christmas dinner at my Grans.......My Gran is 85 years young and has more energy then anyone I know......Anyway she is the one on the left....
![]() The woman in the middle is a friend of hers named Madeline......I found her to be such and interesting woman.....She too is in her eighties......And had so many wonderful stories that you found yourself just wanting her to tell more about her life growing up and even her life to this point in time...... I was wondering If you had your Grandchild/Grandchildren on your lap or around you what kind of stories would you tell them about things that happened or the way things were in your life back in the day.....Stories about the way the world was when you were young.......Now I know there are not alot of eighty year olds on the forum but what stories would you want to share with them...... |

I found Mikey's Grandmother to be a vivacious and beautiful woman. So full of life. The kind of gal you want to hang around often. And, Madeline and I had so much fun collaborating on what alcohol to put in the glaze.
Giggles all around.

Mikey funny you mention that...as that exact scenario crossed my mind when I started racing....thoughts like when I am old and I start into the ..."oh yeah ,well when I was young...(is that starting with enough attitude? picture it said with emphasis with spiddle from a mouth with no teeth left) and then when they dont believe ya...you take them out back to the barn and lift the tarp off what will then be a vintage racing harley davidson.

Not bad for 85 eh? A funny story...Her friend and her said the only way they can get a man now is to tire them out by taking turns running after them....Like cheetahs do.....She said finally the men just give up and fall down from exhaustion.....They really have a great since of humor......

Not a big Kenney Chesney fan, but I was watching CMT today and he has a song out called "Don't Blink". In the video they are interviewing a man that is supposed to be 102 yrs old. They asked him what he would say to a youngster tosay. His reponse..."show respect...especially to your mother".
