Just preped the prime rib and tossed it in the oven. Bros coming over today. Drinking black coffee. Feel groggy from last night. No one in the house is moving very fast. Could use one of those hangover drinks from La Rana. Don't have the fixins here. Going to have some hair of the dog. have to crush garlic and infuse the olive oil. Gifts remain unopened.

I'm the only one up and about. Son and his wife got in around midnight from their travels. Sandy is in bed...she caught my sinus infection and is feeling miserable. Even the dogs are crashed. I'm the grinch in the family but I am wondering what happened to Christmas mornings around here!

I now reek of garlic, but that's all taken care of now. Should have done it yesterday. Just before 8am here. Just cracked a beer open and Tammy sent me an extremely disapproving glance when she heard the noise. Tried to disguise it, but it's hard to put one over on her!
Like Jimmy and Allen said...it's 5 o'clock somehere!

Good morning Peeplanders,
Still dark here - alarm cat meowed without let-up or mercy starting at about 4:00 this morning - its 5:45 here now. Got coffee made and taken to She Who Deserves Coffee In Bed, a nice fire is blazing in the magical heat producing fireplace and the blower fan is pushing some warm air out into the house. Cat woke me up early enough to override the programmed furnace warm-up, so it is just us and the fire and the 24 degree air outside trying to keep us cool. Kathy is in the kitchen working on the Christmas morning omelette. Life seems okey-dokey this morning in this corner of the world. |

Merry Christmas Roni and Kathy!
Last night I attended the candlelit service at our church and as I drove in, there was a misty rain in the air. It so reminded me of Oregon. I don't know if it ever came up in our msgs back and forth, but I lived in Oregon for eight years (in my really fun misspent youth). I remember spending the first winter trying to use an umbrella - to no avail. The misty rain would just hang in the air and you'd never get your hair dry! Have a wonderful holiday season, all!
