Mini-Holiday Trip reports
Hi all,
Many of us take little holiday trips. I am writing this from a hotel in Florence, OR - on the south central coast (jx2 adn jsotherj, we are here for two nights if you wanna drive and it isn't too far from where your g-daughter lives ) In an hour or so our friends will arrive from Arcata, where they have been doing Xmas with their daughter and son.The drive over was wet and, in the coast range, a little snowy. I am now starting to relax. After two nights here we'll head to Astoria (just across the river from Washington, CaroleLB and JamieBlondeHair, FYI )Then it is back home for us, to get ready for a very small gathering on NYE. Jan. 1 we apply repair kits to our memories and prepare to go back to work for another year ![]()

Just took the train from Milwaukee to Chicago yesterday with our granddaughters. They were never on a train before nor to Chicago. Had a great time with them at the Navy Pier, Winter Festival. Then walked down Michigan Ave for some shopping and lunch. Also took them up to the top of the John Hancock building.
It was a long day, but very worth the quality time to spend with them. Love them both so much. And it was nice to see the sites thru their eyes and ears. |
