Mayakoba Golf Classic - PGA TOUR

It appears it's really easy to get tickets or to volunteer. I watched the tournament last here on the Golf Channel here in the States. There weren't very many spectators so access should be really good. However, don't expect Tiger vs. Phil here, Fred Funk won it last year. Yes, that's the same Fred Funk who had to don a skirt after Annika Sorenstam out-drove him in the Skins game a couple of years ago.

We were at the tournament for a day last year. We had a great day, although we went on the Thursday, which was day one of the tournament. Speaking from personal experience, do not try to sneak a camera in!!
The course was great, the golfers were outstanding, and the price was right. We will be attending again this year, but we're going to try for the Sunday final day.
When we went last year, there were probably only several hundred fans at the course. I'm not sure what the attendance would be like this year, or on the Sunday.
We stay at the north end of Playa, and to get to Mayakoba, we just flagged down a cab, dickered a bit on price, and got a ride there. We cabbed it back as well. Bought our tickets at the gate.
Hope this helps...
