There is truth to this, and I am one of those crazy neighbors I guess. It's like cleaning the house. I'd rather do small cleaning jobs here and there rather than have it all pile up and have to spend several hours doing them all at once.
The problems we've been having is that the "mild" days here (10 to 25 deg F) are causing the sidewalks/roads to stay somewhat warm. When a few inches of snow fall on them, the snow melts a little underneath. But overnight, everything cools off enough to have a nice layer of ice below all the snow. Shoveling in the morning does clear the snow, but you're more of a zamboni at that point. |

We are headed up north for the weekend to ski tomorrow so some snow would be good for us. |

Look, mister, considering what your countdown timer reads right now, having you talk about snow removal is a little hard to take. |

I guess that's why everyone in our Milwaukee office took off early
![]() We had a little snow earlier but it quit. ![]() I hope it stays that way!And... if I had to shovel and it looked like there was going to be a lot of heavy snow, I might shovel twice too. Fortunately (in the winter anyway), I live in a townhouse and just have to wait for someone else to plow/shovel for me.

I can usually do it myself and the (normally)twice or three times a year that it's just too much or too heavy and I pay $40 still seems a better bargain that $1500 for something that sits on the garage 99.9% of the time. This one is a beautiful snow fall, sticking to and outlining every tree branch, but this one I may call the plow again ![]()

After living in Cincinatti and shoveling my fare share of snow, I can tell you that it is easier to shovel freshly fallen snoe than snow that has had a chance to settle and "ice" up. Once that stuff starts to harden it's a real biatch to shovel.
