Funny that's was one of the first questions that Softy asked me when we first met. I had a bit of a scottish accent after living with my scottish girlfriend for 6 years. So Softy asked me if I was Scottish. I growled at her "No I'm an American."

you mean our nationality (lineage) correct? For example, I'm 1/2 Polish, 1/4 Irish and 1/4 Swedish. I live in America and am 'American'. If you mean lineage ... very few peeps could claim 'American' unless they were probably native Americans (Indians). Most had Grandparents who were of German/English/Scottish/Italian, etc descent. Having said that ... you need to break out the Great Britain line to be more specific. You have no Irish. MANY peeps in the USA have some Irish lineage (and not just on St. Patty's Day ). Anyway ~ just wondering if that's what you meant.

Yeah, you misspelled Ireland.

Second generation Irish. Really kind of a Leprechaun with a pituitary problem.

My Nationality is US.
My genealogy is 1/4 Swedish, 1/4 Finnish (unless you count those Swedish-speakers in Finland as being Swedish...then 1/2 total Swedish). I am also part German, Native American, probably Mexican (that is a good story for a rainy day--I had a wild German Grandma), and goodness knows what else.
My blood type is AB -

I know! I was thinking, well wherever you live that's your nationality... but then I was thinking of the people like Heather who live in Mexico... but she's not a Mexican citizen... (is she?)... so her nationality would be US? Or is he asking what nation does someone live in, in which case someone like Heather would say Mexico...

I don't think it was our background/heritage type of nationality at any rate...

is that any better?
