I are a Merican, not to be confused with a Merkian .

While a US citizen, I spent 7 years of my growing up time in Brasil, attending Brasilian schools for much of that time and having with mostly Brasilian friends- it was unusual to spend much time with American kids until I went to an Escola Americano before returning to the states, and then we have over 20 nationalities in the school. My favorite was Charlotte......errrr....Swedish, but then she was my 7th grade sweetie

Hm. This is striking my curiosity- pretty unusual to find so many ABs in one spot.... "we" are only 5% of the population after all (at least here in Europe).
I think I want to start a poll about this. Would be interesting to see if the board diverges from the usual statistic.

In thas case you wouldn't find native Americans that are 100% native American, because many of their ancestors came from Mongolia or Siberia.

I'm half Filipino, the other half is your basic Western European mutt combo: Irish/English/French. I check "U.S." when asked about nationality; "Other" when asked about ethnicity.
