Our wish list for 08 (some are definite)

Jan. NYC long weekend...Chinatown, little Italy, twin towers etc
Feb./March-playa of course!
Summer-Thousand Islands area and possibly Canada
Fall-Playa again!

somewhere in between? Hong Kong, Greece (need to win the lottery)

Might even go down and hassle Jacko for a while!

WELL, all you guys , how many holidays do you have a year? Wow I'm amazed, we only get 2 weeks PER YEAR.... well this year my holidays were bummed, so I'm dreaming about the next ones, in October...still dreaming about Peru and Bolivia, but India is ranked # 1 at the moment in my list, can't wait to get back.

We leave for Costa Rica at 5:30 a.m. on Dec 31st for 13 days .... my 18 and 21 year old daughters and me ... Staying in Copey, a lodge outside of Bahia Drake, and the Ballena National Park/Dominical area ... I am hoping I don't see any snakes ....

March - Playa for a week with friends

April - Playa for a week with the family

June - hoping to do Playa yet again

July - somewhere with the family, now that we don't have to go back to L.A. for surgery. No idea where to go yet though.

Right now I have 23 paid time off days. That includes vacation and personal days. Plus we get all the major holidays paid as well. Next year (2009), if I stay with the company, it'll be 10 years and I'll get 5 more paid days. I'm very fortunate to work for the family that I do...if I need more time off, I can take whatever I want. It just goes unpaid.

My vacation plans this year:

Jan 31st to Feb 6th in Playa with Stewart and Kelli!!

July: We take our annual family vacation to our cabin in northern Wisconsin.

Oct/Nov. Back in Playa for Halloween with my girl, Joana (I see she has her countdown timer in place!!). My plan is to do 10 days, but I might see if I can extend it to 2 1/2 or 3 weeks.

Playa in the summer months (probably August), hopefully for 3 weeks, and that's it really.

I've taken only 15 (working) days off this year, I have 28, but I never manage to take them all because there is always so much to do at work and I keep postponing the vacations.

I need to stop doing that because now at the end of the year I'm really tired and quite burnt out, since my last vacation was PDC in May.

And I have the best working environment so getting time off has never been a problem.

Hmmmmm overachiever, I guess. Well, I'm sure I'll grow out of it eventually.
