I used Shutterfly to make a book of soccer photos that I have taken over the years. I was really impressed with the quality of the paper and how beautifully the photos turned out. It's a leather bound book with a see through window on the cover that shows one image through the window. Beautiful binding. Highly recommend it.

I have seen your pics, so if you recommend Shutterfly they must be GOOD!

Great idea. I don't have time for scrapbooking but this sounds like something I could do for gifts.

Just got the email that my photobook is ready for shipping. Hope I will have it tomorrow! I am soooooo curious! If I like it I will make one for French Polynesia as well. And then one for India and one for Thailand.... heck, I already have too many books anyway....

Too funny that this has popped up- I was thinking about creating one about my Mextrip the other day........... but wasn't sure if the result is really good. Sounds like it is.

Now- Andiline, how much do you pay for that?

I had considered doing this as well with our combined pictures. But after spending 10+ hours working on the slideshow, I'm a bit hesitant.

I still have over 400 pictures to categorize and burn on CD for you. Hope to have it done by the time October rolls around.

Joana, I have my pics developed with the Aldi online-stuff. The first printed fotos from them were good quality and I can tell you hopefully tomorrow how the book turned out. Since I have 66 pages in it I pay 29.99 Euro. With less pages it costs less. Shipping is 2.99 Euro. If you want to do it you first need to download their software though. It is pretty easy and once you have selected the pictures, you can have the book ready in 5 minutes (or spend hours over it with writing text).

Or even more hours if editing the photos in Photoshop, creating headlines, text with colors and making your own choice of picture size and positioning. You can be very creative if you want.

Yeah, I know... I am at home these days but although I've been here for 2 weeks now I never get bored (unless I have to stay in bed which fortunately is not the case any more). So I DID choose the pics for my book and had a look at the selection afterwards. I think I made 4 or 5 of them a little bit nicer in Photoshop but I left the others as they were. Otherwise I probably still wouldn't have ordered it... I can be creative - if I only had more time...

You can always make scrapbooks with paper-pics. But for the photo-books you need digital files of the pics.

Joana, I got the book this morning. Quality is good so I can recommend Aldi for this. Format of it is A4 and the biggest size of pics is half of one page. Once I have formated my PC (job for today *sigh*) I will put one together for French Polynesia as well.
