Greetings from Carson City

and for those of you who don't know where that is, we're about 30 minutes from Lake Tahoe. Although we're the capital of Nevada, we're a very small city and we usually have to explain that we're between Reno and Lake Tahoe.

ANYHOW...we had about a foot of snow this weekend, so we're really looking forward to getting out of Dodge and heading South. We have a stop in Florida to visit family, then it's on to Playa on the 29th!! It's our first visit to the area. I was going to stay in Cancun the whole 10 days, but stumbled on the playa.info website over the weekend, and canceled the hotel in Cancun and booked the Pueblito Escondido for a week!

Now I've been reading and reading and reading. This forum is awesome. I've never had so much info on a place prior to a trip (and we travel a great deal and I do A LOT of research before a trip), so kudos to everyone who contributes here.

Hope to run into some of you so I can thank you in person.
