Just got back from Playa.. came back.. engaged!!
Happy New Year everyone! Just got back from my 2nd trip to Playa. It was awesome. My fiancee's parents bought a condo and while we had lots of construction and people coming and going over our 16 days there,, it was awesome! They are on the corner of 10th and 15th. Close to Walmart and Beer Bucket! haha. Anyways, we got engaged and are wanting to get married in Playa. Sooner the better, some time this year. My only concern is my parents have never been to anywhere outside of Canada/USA. I know smaller hotels are the way to go, (we stayed at Riviera del Sol last year) but for them an AI would probably be best. I wish I had more time to walk around and find the AI's but didnt get to it. What would you recommend for a couple in their early 60's? Where the heck are the AI's anyways?! It would be nice to have something in walking distance. Thanks for any and all help!

Congrats!
What great news for you. That's exciting. Being engaged in paradise. Many best wishes fo the future. Im guessing if you are staying in town, like that, and want your folks remotely close, the closest AIs are the Royal and the old Porto Real ( not sur what its name is now). There is also the Princess that is the old converted Continental Hotel and the AI's in Playacar - many to chose from. Might seek some advice from Shammy on here. She and I have never spoken but she clearly knows her stuff on all the resorts and hotels and could help you book a great trip for all . Her advice seems RIGHT on target.

Wondering why an AI would be best for your parents. If your wedding was taking place there and you and your guests were staying there I'd understand. Maybe there's issues that weren't mentioned. Their food and drinks are included with the AI and I'm guessing they'd want to spend that time with you and the inlaws anyway. Not to mention experiencing the local "ambience". Just my 2 cents. Oh, and congratulations!
