Hello from PEI, Canada
My friends and I usually travel to the DR every year but this year we have chosen Mexico. We are women in our early 40's and like to enjoy the culture, like the night life, and like to shop and relax. After doing a little research, I am told Playa Del Carmen is the right spot for us. Having just started researching, I was delighted to come across this site.....hopefully will have time to look at all the threads on the weekend.
I am sure I will be back with lots of questions. ![]() |

Hello and welcome..you've found the best place for info about Playa and the Riviera maya in general.. I suggest you try the search button at the top.. very usefull... Playa has so many place to see and lots of things to do besides the beach, not to mention you're favorite pastime(joke).
..Indeed you can shop till you drop in PDC.. literally! Bring lots of pesos! When are you ladies going down?Happy researching... Last edited by skywatcher : 01-11-2008 at 03:11 PM. Reason: remove quote |

Wow, someone from PEI? This may be a first! Welcome again, I have already responded to your other thread. I guess I should have put in Canadian anologies instead of US and UK. So here goes: Playa is as similar to Guadalajara as Toronto is to Winnepeg.

Welcome Kasly. I know you'll love Playa. I'm in my late 50's and spent 6 weeks in Playa two years ago (alone). I loved every minute of it. It's really easy to meet people, but lots of places to go if you want to be on your own. Great shopping, great restaurants, great beaches, great people!

Welcome Kasly
Playa is all you expect and more. My moms family are from Cheverie,NS and one cousin, now departed but lovingly remembered, lived in Amherst but visited P.E.I. each summer. I have friends in Playa that week as well, but have demands at home that I cannot leave, Da*n.

U ladies have made the right choice Playa and the Rivera Maya are my favorite places to vacation in the whole world. The people or peeps are great and fun to hang out and party with. The clubs here are a lot of fun also and they run the gambit. The beaches here are to die for. If u ladies are coming down Easter we are having a Peep meet at the Beer Bucket March 23 from 7-10 pm. We would love to meet u ladies. |
