There's a couple of things I don't like about Amanda.
1. I don't like her style...or lack thereof. I don't like her crazy hairdo, or her silly-looking outfits.

I personally don't think Amanda has a good voice. I certainly don't think she is American Idol material.

Remember what Simon always says... "This is, afterall, a singing competition."
She doesn't sing well and isn't in the same league as some of the others.

I agree. Theres much better singers out there. She must have had something that the judges liked, or she wouldn't be there. I just like the way she is.

They put her in there because she's different, and they thought she had the potential to bring something fresh to the competition. I think her biggest problem is that she can't do anything except mimic Janis Joplin. I don't think she'll be around much longer.

I agree, I guess they thought she had potential, but unfortunately you are right, she can't do much more than mimic Janis. Did you hear her last week in the group sing

! Wow, really bad! Not that any of them did that great in the group sing though. My hubby said that in a group sing like that they have to find a key they can all somewhat sing in, even though it may not be the best key for each individually.

ugh, i forward through that group sing every week... always sounds like a high school choir performance... which is great when you're watching your own kid in high school choir, but i don't wanna watch it on tv...

Ditto! I really don't like the results shows because of the impossible-to-listen-to group performances. UGH!

WOW! I enjoyed the show tonight. I even enjoyed Danny Noriega for the first time. I liked all the songs except maybe Luke's. Thought he sucked but the rest were a blast to watch.

I didn't mind Luke...Simon trashed him, but I thought the song was good for his voice. Anyway, he'll be gone soon enough. I completely loved David Cook tonight--best performance of the night, no doubt about it. Also liked David H. I like MIchael Johns, buit I agree with Simon that he hasn't really found his niche on the show yet. His best performance for me was Bohemian Rhapsody during auditions. David A was just OK for me tonight. Didn't like the song he chose, even though he's very talented and seems to be the chosen one.

Loved the rocker David... cool rendition of Hello... liked David A again... and I'm a Chikezie fan, mostly... and I liked Jason--pretty teeth and eyes--I want both of those!! I usually like David H better (any word on whether he'll be asked to leave, a la Frenchy?) and I WANT to like Michael Johns better... not crazy about Luke; just can't get with Danny...

I don't think that'll happen...could be wrong, but that info has been around for a pretty long time. I saw it on a web site several weeks ago. If no one has said anything to him yet, I think he's OK.

they said (he said?) he was a stripper awhile back? they got rid of Frenchy for being a phone sex operator back in her pre idol days... surprised no one said double standard....
