I really liked David Cooks rendition of Hello - they played it on the radio this am and it sounded even better than when I watched - maybe because I think he makes funny faces, so when I only heard the singing - it was better!

Wow, I thought there would be more chatter about idol.. especially given some of those performances.

I think everyone loves David A so he gets a pass... i'd say it's between Ramille, Ayesha and Kristy... my guess is Ramielle as Kristy I think has the edge on the cuter factor.

OK - I haven't watched it yet (DVRd it) but glad to see David Cook on the 'good' list

We have a top 12 pool going at work & I drew David C - so I want him to win now of course!

well, he has a shot.. he is sort of this years Blake.. not the best singer but very creative

I pretty much agree with you.

I take back what I said a few weeks ago about Carly being overrated. She's really good. David Cook was awesome. And I hope Jacuzzi stays around a long time.

Brooke however, was just so-so IMO. I was surprised the judges loved her so much. She's got a pretty voice and did a nice job, but it was just okay.

I agree with your three "bads" but don't think any of them were bad enough to get sent home yet. Hands down, that honor should go to Kristy Lee. She was wretched.

She's totally out of the league of the rest of them.

Of those not previously mentioned:

Michael Johns = pretty good (great song choice)
Jason Castro = so-so
David Hernandez = completely unremarkable
Amanda = I missed her performance.

Overall, it was an entertaining night.

I love pretty much everything the Beatles ever did and, thus, was prepared to be offended. But I think it speaks to the quality of Lennon and McCartney's music that it holds up so well to so many different interpretations.

David A and Jason weren't up to snuff last night. Biggest problem with David A (besides forgetting the lyrics

) was that he was trying to "change it up" and not be so "gloomy" and look what happened. I like his slow stuff. They screw with contestants every year. Next week he'll sing a ballad and they'll say, "Now this is what we love about you. This is your element." But if he sings ANOTHER ONE they'll try and get him to change... and then get mad when he doesn't sound as good.

I found that as well last night, they were so talented, prolific and gifted.. we may never see a song writing duo like that ever again especially in terms of quantity, quality, depth and.. what struck me last night, the timelessness.
Amanda was ok, but she is pretty much a one trick pony. David H was as Simon would say, unremarkable.

Kristy and David A were terrible last night, Simon was right when he said that she sounded like Dolly Parton on helium; it also sounded like she was not in time with the music.
Jacuzzi and David Cook had the best performances.
A very entertaining show last night, and even Paula was coherent!

Kristy Lee or Amanda should go butttttt....it's hard to predict anymore. Amanda is a one trick pony, sounds the same in every song. Not my favorite but she gets the support of the vote for the worst group.

edit: Hmmm...I didn't think David A. was that bad. Yes, forgot lyrics and not his best but his talent was still pretty evident. Michael Johns is who I can't figure out. I think he's got a nice voice but nothing remarkable.

You're right. But selfishly I would hate to see Kristy go. She is so easy on the eyes. I think the stripper dude is gone.

Kristy should go home... and David A will get a mulligan but forgetting words like that is bad!!
