Nerves...it is hard to remember he is still just a kid. Hubby and I were surprised to hear he was still in a jr. high school in his interview last night!

He has the talent now it will be whether he has the maturity to handle the stress.

I will DVR Idol tonight to skip to the eliminations, besides Katherine McPhee is performing---there is a reason her album failed!!
Some people may be good singers, but can their talent transfer to the market? David A is sweet, but are you going to buy his records? David Cook and the dreds guy seem the most marketable.

you have to be at least 16.. so he is in high school.

I think everyone loves David A so he gets a pass... i'd say it's between Ramille, Ayesha and Kristy... my guess is Ramielle as Kristy I think has the edge on the cuter factor.

I agree pretty much with you here. I thought Chikezee was great. Surprised the hell out of me. I've been hoping he'd do well but haven't seen much until last night to make me believe he still deserves to be there. David Cook was next in line like you said IMO.

I didn't think Ayesha was bad..mediocre maybe. I like Amanda OK but don't think she's got a chance in .......

I really disliked Ramiele, David Hernandez, and David A's performances. Kristy was pretty terrible too.

I think it will be Ramiele or Kristy out this week.

We'll see I reckon.

well, this isn't a high school talent show.. I agree he has the talent but he may not be mature enough to handle it just yet. He'll get a pass this week, cause he has been good till now. this will only get more intense as it goes.

I agree...I don't think I would buy any of the contestants' albums. My kids have bought Kelly Clarkson's stuff, Daughtry (sp) and Blake's. That's it over all these years! Sad...

They have young ones in every year... Diana DeGarmo (remember her?) made it to #2 behind Fantasia that year... started at 16, ended at 17... I think it depends on the kid... David A has been singing forever... he won Star Search at 12, I think, for his age group...

Problem is, they worry about the kids being too young... the judges talk about it, too...so why open the competition to 16 year olds then?

We hardly ever buy CD's, so I'm not a good one for guessing marketablity... Mike has the Daughtry one... I like Jordin Sparks song that's out right now... loved Kelly Clarkson's stuff... heard the Ruben Studdard CD... someone gave me the 2-song CD by Clay Aiken... never heard a thing from Taylor or Fantasia on the radio... but I know it's out there somewhere....

Don't remember the early seasons...'cause I didn't watch the show then!

Didn't watch until a local girl made it to the Hollywood rounds. She had some interesting behind the scenes stories about what the producers are looking for and how things are manipulated. She was extrmely talented but her family life was "too normal". She said it was a fun time, though.

"too normal"... the poor thing!

I think originally it was 16 to 24 or something... and they extended the age limit to 28 to include older contestants... but they left the young ones in... and there are always comments by the judge about them being young... I think if it's going to be an issue, then change it to 18...

My favorites are Daughtry and Carrie Underwood's first cd. Have her new one also but don't like it very much. Waaaaay to country for me

I do like the Elliot song on the radio... and I forgot about Carrie Underwood... duh... I've heard the CD but never bought it... the first one... it was good....

I guess I DON'T keep AI going! I don't even call in and vote, so I can't blame anyone for the voting outcome
