Hated that totally. I felt kind of sorry for her because she took the judges' advice about sticking to her coutnry roots to heart, and then they trashed her for it. Nice...I think some of the contestants just "get" what the judges say about making a song your own, the way Chickezie and carley and David C. did last night.

I agree with SKM that maybe they should up the minimum age to 18 if they are concerned about the kid's ability to handle the pressure, etc.

Maybe you're right, it really is unfair for a 17 yo to compete with a 28 yo... maturity wise how can they compare.

Well.........I wasn't surprised at the bottom three, but I was a little surprised at who went home. Not exactly how I picked them but I'm not disappointed. I was not a fan of Hernandez.

I actually liked all 3 Davids, so I was surprised he went... not that he was going to win it all, but I thought he'd stay longer... I thought it would be Kristy tonight....

How about having all 3 of them sing tonight? Kinda weird. Although I guess it gets rid of that awkward crying/singing moment after they've just been told they're going home... and then getting cut off mid-song because the show ran long....

I liked Ruben's song... Kenny Loggins....

I like David Cook quite a bit. He's probably my favorite. Archuleta is good but seems a little too timid. Hernandez always seemed just so so to me.

All three singing was odd but I imagine they just wanted to change things up a bit from previous years.

Having all three of them sing avoids the messy you were jsut voted off now go perform.. of course, now what we get is hey, you sucked yesterday and you might be going home, so please suck again for us one more time. They are going to have to tweak it some more. David H was a little sirprising but not really...

The thing about having them all sing is that they sing the same song that made them lose in the first place. They should have a "going home" song that they choose on their own and sing on "bottom three" night. And then, maybe America could vote again on which of the three goes home...just thinkin'...

I did like David H. I expected him to go further, probably not win it all, but I thought he did well enough this week to make it through. I was surprised that Ramiele did not even make it to the bottom three. Her performance was less impressive than either of the actual bottom three. It was an interesting week. And next week will be equally challenging for those who found it challenging this week, since it's gonna be another Lennon-McCartney week. By popular demand. I'll bet a few of those kids are a little worried now.

I missed that part as we were flipping channels, so more lennon/mcartney again? cool! any other parameters?

No, Ryan just said "we had so much positive feedback that we decided to change up the theme for next week's show...it's another Lennon-McCartney week," Hmm...now that I think of it, earlier in the week they said they'd announce who the "mentors" would be this season, but I didn't hear anything about that. Anyone?

OK - I'm sorry but I can NOT believe Kristy is still there after that beyond hideous Hee Haw performance if you could call it that. Oh the horror! And next week she'll just do it again to another classic - great.
