I think either Brooke or Jason will go............tough night.......poor Brooke, she seemed to keep it together but I am sure she will dissolve as soon as the cameras are off!!
Back to watch overtime between the Flyers and the Caps!! Gotta love playoff hockey!!

David C did great...again. He's got the pipes.
![]() Poor Brooke! My heart really goes out to her. And to actually get those rare negative words from Paula. ![]() I thought Sayesha was great too. And I'm not a Carly fan, but good job. ![]() Did Jason and David A sing tonight? *yawn* And now...

He sang Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera, it was very Gerard Butler-ish from the movie, I loved it but I loved the raspiness of Gerard in the movie as compared to the polished version in the stage production. That, Carly & Sayesha were my faves.

the love song from Phantom Of The Opera... I really liked it... I liked Sayesha, too... Carly was good... Wrong song choice for Jason--it's a hard one to mellow out to... funny how they talk about the divas doing it, but I remember Barry Manilow on the radio with his version years ago... (no jokes there, please )David A was fine and of all the years I've watched American Idol, I've always expected more people to do exactly what Brooke did... just stop and start over... I can't believe it just doesn't happen... I think Paula saying she should have just gone on is almost impossible--if you forgot line #2, how do you pick up at line #3 or 4? You almost have to go back to #1 to find #2... if that makes sense... I think bottom performers were Brooke and Jason, but I think the bottom two will be Sayesha and Brooke, just because of the fan base for Jason... but I could be wrong... it happens

About Brooke forgetting the words, I remember that she did that very early on in the competition too. It was early in the song, and she just stopped and started over, and it was no big deal. Actually, it wasn't that she forgot the words, it was that she started out int he wrong key, or something like that. The judges actually gave her props for not losing her cool, which I gather they didn't do this time. |

Sounds like we all pretty much agree. Here's my take. David Cook was great. Syesha was good. Carly was OK. Poor Brooke will probably go home this week. Jason was barely so so.
I'm sorry folks. I know there are some David Archuleta fans here. The kid is a good singer alright. If he were my kid I would be way the heck proud of him. He just bores the crap out of me......like plain white milquetoast. He's the only one left that I dread seeing each week. Too much "Who me?" "Oh shucks" "Golly gee". Great kid...but a super star? Oh well. |

OK, I just viewed all the performances on Rickey.org...wonderful website. And I have to say, I was impressed by Carley...I loved her Jesus Christ Superstar. Finally, she busted out...
My top three, same as most everyone here...DC, (OMG, that guy can sing! He's the one to beat in my book.) Carley, and (surprise) Syesha...thought she did a great job, and showed some real personality for the first time ever! OMG, it was painful watching Brooke. She will go home. Second worst was Jason. Sorry...to admit never having heard any of the songs is a major no-no at this point. I mean, go rent the film version of Cats if you're gonna sing it. Pass whatever you're smokin' over here Jason...Doh! I think he's safe because of the Brooke factor this week. (Rickey.org expects the full-blown Brooke melt-down tomorrow night.) David A...just ok...I think he's safe, but he's gotta be relieved to be past ALW week. I wish he'd do a youthful fun, upbeat song sometime. |

yeah, Jason or Brooke tonight. I'm thinking Jason. I thought Brooke was actually pretty good after she recoverd from the beginning. I thought Carly was really good last night. She looked confident.

10 Things We Learned Last Night
10 THINGS WE LEARNED LAST NIGHT
1. Your next American Idol is ......David Cook... well at this point it is his to lose! 2. Sayesha has a future as a broadway singer! (that was a terrific performance last night!!) 3. Carly - let someone else pick the song for you please! (Great job on a big song!) 4. David A - the boy can sing, too bad he didn't sing last night.. oh wait he did, I have no recollection of his performance, did he sing Imagine by John lennon.. no? oops, that was a few weeks ago.. So much talent, so much cuteness, so little stage charisma and variation.. he could still wake up and come back and win this, he'll also need to wake the rest of us up as other than his die hard fans I think America is starting to take an extra bathroom break during his performances. 5. Jason - Has neverr seen a Lord Weber musical before, Dude... Ah.. it showed DOH!! 6. Brooke - This will probably be her last performance on the show this year. You just can't stop and start twice in a season.. once ok, but not twice, and the poor thing is so emotional. I dread the scene if she is eliminated! Please be nice tonight Ryan 7. This was the week where we forced people into uncomfortable situations.. David C showed us why he will probably win, Jason why he probably won't 8. "Lord" Andrew llloyd Weber is an awkward little man... 9. Paula actually CAN say something less than positive ![]() 10. Even when she does, Simon will disagree with her to annoy her. ![]() Clearly there were 3 really good performances, one ok, and two train wrecks. |
