I must be the only one but I actually thought David A sounded very good last night. Back to what he sounded like in the beginning. I didn't know the song he sang but I liked it.
I do agree that he is weird though, no stage presence what so ever.Carly was great! ![]() And of course there was David C, as someone pointed out, our next American Idol. ![]() |

I agree that ALW is a strange little man, but most artistic geniuses are, aren't they? I mean, he was composing by age 5 or something. He's our modern day Mozart. Pure genius to be able to compose like he can.
What struck me about him though was his real advice for the contestants. He seemed to be actually helping them and directing them and being honest. Most of the celebrity guests just go "wow, s/he sings so pretty" .. But ALW seemed genuinely interested in helping them, and giving them concrete advice about their overall performance, not just the vocal part. And you can really see the result of that with Carly and Sayesha's great performances. |

Andrew Lloyd Webber is a superstar...
![]() Would love to be able to go and see each one of his stage shows...His music has given me hours of pleasure... I thoroughly enjoyed watching how he mentored the contestants... His honest remarks were very refreshing... I agree Jason or Brooke should leave tonight... Carley was wonderful last night... |

He really is a strange duck, so out of place on the stage. Hopefully some day he will grow out of that but probably not. He's been in this business so long that if he hasn't gotten used to it by now he probably never will. It's a waste of a beautiful voice, really.

Please don't compare that awkward little boy to Josh Groban. ![]() ![]() ![]() I mean, come one, David has a beautiful voice but there is no comparison! Last edited by travmagic : 04-23-2008 at 02:43 PM. |
