I have issues with a LOT more than Clay's hair! He seems like a weird young man...I think he's been having a mid-hair crisis since his idol days. Remember when he came back to sing last year and no one recognized him with his jet black locks? He's just strange! I loved the piece on Tamyra Gray tonight.

with the black hair he looked so much like Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Herman) it was scary... I liked him with his choppy Ryan Seacrest 'doo... although this season Ryan's hair hasn't been his usual styled self... kind of an almost-Big Boy look to it... (what is that thumbs down?) I thought Jason would probably escape because he seems to have such a strong following. I thought for sure that Brooke was gone. I guess Brooke is more popular than I realized. It doesn't matter how talented you are...if people don't like you, they vote you out. For Carley, that means end of story.

)Here are my predictions for who sings what: Jason: I'm a Believer, Cracklin Rosie, Song Sung Blue David A: Girl, You'll be a Woman Soon (not really...that would be finny tho), America Brooke/Syesha fight it out for You Don't Bring me Flowers David C: Holly Holy, Solitary Man Hopefully no one does Sweet Caroline, or I'll have to jump in with "so good, so good, so good" (after the line "Good times never seemed so good") just like in between innings at the Red Sox games. ![]() |

just pleeeeease no one sing Heartlight
![]() I could hear David C sing September Morn... actually any of them as he has that gritty sounding voice... and Brooke can make them work with her voice... DavidA I'm a little concerned about... I like Sweet Caroline and Hello Again... |

A little bit of a shocker for sure.. certainly popularity came into it, I think there was also a little bit of people voting to save people rather than voting for best performances, that's why Sayehsa was in bottom 2 as well. I think people figured they did so well, they didn't need the votes. And of course I think Carly still had a little of the residual "should she be here" on her... as we saw happen to Michael Johns.
I am sad to see her go.. but onward and upward... |

She seemed somewhat elated.. she made it really far, and now the pressure of the week to week is off, yet her career opportunities have expanded. In some ways, finishing in the top 8 or so but not winning is even better than winning.

Funny about "Sweet Caroline", we just got back from Sercrets Capri and we did that song for the pool aerobics. When we got to that point we had to make a circle and pull one another into the middle screaming at the top of our lungs. Woke anyone up who dared to fall asleep while we were working so hard! I'll think of that now any time I hear that song. |
