I tuned in late and missed David A's first song. What was it? How did he do? Is there a theme for the night?

Mercy, forget David A. Have you seen Syesha tonight??? She could sing B.I.N.G.O. tonight and still get my vote. David A's first song was a Billy Joel (I think) song. He did really good with it. Cook's first song was also very good. But Syesha........ wow, slightly infatuated here.

First song was judge's choice, second song contestant's choice and third choice, producer's choice.......................David Cook rocked!!!! I feel that Sayesha should go through but we'll see tomorrow.............funny how the second songs were all received with a very luke warm response from the judges............

(as I said back in the top 12, I think... but I'll be happy to admit I was oh so wrong if Syesha can snatch it away from David A)

Alright, so check it out...almost all the song choices tonight sucked! How could the producers choose Dan Fogelberg for David A, and how could Simon choose Robert Flack for David C. I did love Syesha's Alicia Keys song. And I got goosebumps on David C's Aerosmith. Let's face it though, trying to cram a 3:00 song into 1:30 just isn't fair to the song or the artists. All the songs just felt truncated and wrong to me. Why not let them have a full 3:00 and only do 2 songs? Or extend the show to 90 minutes if necessary. Tonight was just alright for me, dawg. It's tough to predict, but I think it's gonna be the two Davids.

PS...I hope I never hear David A. utter the word "boo" again, unless it's Halloween.

Do you think the judges are pushing the two Davids? It seems like that way to me. They always say to the Davids things like, this song should put you thru to the next round, etc. But to Syesha the say the opposite, like that song might be your ticket home, which I think is unfair to her, she is singing really well. But they always seem to cut her performances down.

I really like the Davids the best though. I've been a fan of David A since the beginning.... I know, I know, I'm probably the only one over the age of 16, but I really like his voice.

I guess he has stuff to be sad about...(was that his sick brother sitting with his parents, or is he too sick to travel?) I didn't really notice that he was sadder than normal though. Maybe he was trying to avoid looking pompous, which he's been accused of in the past.

I just hope we hear from him if he wins and he doesn't fall into the American Idol black hole so many winners seem to disappear into...

I couldn't agree more.. why 3 songs? I'd rather see 2 songs performed more fully.
Well, I think the odds say David/David... but frankly, while David A nevers gets "pitchy" he is flat out boring. Couldn't have been any clearer than hsi fogelberg efffort.. he clearly was singing the right words and notes, but no clue as to the what the song meant and no passion... Yaen City. It should be David C vs Syesha.. but... the fans decided. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!
